Serrations are of 90 degree form and are produced on English
shaft sizes ranging from 1/4" to 6" diameter. These
are used for closer fits than involute splines.

Serrations are involute splines with a higher pressure angle.
Again these are used for close fits and have an economic advantage
in that for the same pitch the tooling can cut any number of
teeth.
